Showing up daily for 365 days makes an entire year of showing up. And when you look back you would be amazed at what you accomplished by just doing that.
For example If your aim is to write and you do that for 365 days, you will have done the following:
You will have written 365 articles. You will have written approximately 70,000 words. I am assuming at least 200 words per article here. And that is a minimum. For example, It’s day 18 of my own Daily Writing Challenge and I am crossing the 200-word limit daily. In some articles, I push past 500 even. That is the power when you show up daily.
You won’t even notice when you start to enjoy the process and start increasing your output.
Here’s what James Clear has to say about showing up daily and why it is necessary to build a habit:
“People often think it’s weird to get hyped about reading one page or meditating for one minute or making one sales call. But the point is not to do one thing. The point is to master the habit of showing up. The truth is, a habit must be established before it can be improved. If you can’t learn the basic skill of showing up, then you have little hope of mastering the finer details. Instead of trying to engineer a perfect habit from the start, do the easy thing on a more consistent basis. You have to standardize before you can optimize.”
James Clear, Atomic Habits.
So, master The Art of Showing Up Daily and prepare yourself for massive success.
I write daily here on my blog. There is no limit to the word count. I am not focusing on any topic here. I want to build a daily writing habit. This is Day 18 of the Daily Writing Challenge in 2022.
